Let's Get Started

Relationship Building Clinics

Daily from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm ( each day offers a 2 hour lunch break)

Thursday-   " Rythm, Tempo & Footfall" - From basic manuevers to developing advanced skills with your trail horse, this workshop will  help you with the importance of improving your rythm, developing a tempo and understanding footfall and how all of these areas can affect the relationship with your horse. (ground & riding session)

Friday  - "Less is More "-  Begin to advance your level of communication with your horse from the ground and in the saddle.  Take focus, feel & timing to the next level for you and your horse.  Understand how little it takes to reach your goals of communication and to be able to translate your thoughts and desired actions to your horse. (ground & riding session)

Note: In the event of bad/dangerous weather the clinic may be moved to the indoor arena.

PARTICIPATION - Pre-Registration is required. Contact PPE to register. This Clinic is designed for those who wish to advance their skills and develop their horsemanship.  Participants will also improve their enjoyment and safety while trail riding and to learn how to overcome emotional & physical obstacles with their horse.

Participation in the Clinic includes a chance to have your horse chosen for our Special Equine Spotlight Demonstration on Friday night!

What is the Equine Spotlight Demonstration?

Upon registration for the 2 day clinic your horse will be registered for a chance to be chosen for our Equine Spotlight Demonstration.  Joe will work with your horse (riding or on the ground) in a special session that is always fun and educational.

Clinic participants may arrive anytime after 12pm on Wednesday.

Saturday - Trail Horse Challenge Competition

Our competitive trail challenge will take place out on the trail (3-6 miles).  The obstacles (6-8) will be located along the trail. An obstacle list/sheet will be provided for each rider.  You may ride alone or along with a group (max. 5 riders in a group).  Riders will leave out and hit the trail in 15 minute intervals. There will be judges located at each obstacle.  Prizes & Awards (1st-5th ribbons) presented at our Potluck Dinner on Saturday evening.

 Divisions- Novice, Open & Youth

Novice Division This is considered a new partnership. The rider and horse may not have established trust or are unsure about each member's ability to negotiate simple obstacles.  Obstacles should be easy to explain to the team: basic maneuver or technique needed to complete the obstacle.

Open Division: This is considered an established Partnership. The rider and Horse are familiar with one another, exhibit trust when negotiating obstacles.

Youth Division:  18 yrs & under

No disqualifications, you may choose to pass on any obstacle.

Safe tack & equipment , boots for riders, saddles & bridles are all required.

Competitors may arrive Friday after 12pm

We will have multiple judges for our Competitive Trail Horse Challenge. Come be a part of unique & exciting Equine Opportunity focusing on the Trail Horse!

6:30 pm - PPE Group Potluck Dinner & Awards

Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm- PPE Play Day & Trail Ride

Sunday will offer our riders the chance to hit the trails and enjoy their day. We will have a scenic trail marked for riders to head out on at their leisure.  We will also have a man made obstacle practice course set up for the day to allow you to try out your new skills or just have fun with your horse.  You may decide to hit some of the other trails on the farm that offer many sights and a chance to practice at the water/obstacle complex or other natural obstacles on the farm.
