Participation Information

  6 nights & 7 days.

Complete Rider package includes:  rv camp site, stall ,  trail access, all group activities during the week, farrier services for repairs, horse shuttle, group socials and much more.   

2nd Rider Complete package (staying with a registered rider)  includes:  stall, trail access, all group activities during the week, farrier services for repairs, horse shuttle, group socials and much more.

 

Negative Coggins required on all horses.

Mt. Rogers Retreat Week

 

 

 Join us for  a week longTrail Ride Experience in the mountains of VA!  

 This is one of the most beautiful places to ride in VA.  Our week will offer riders access to scenic trails with wild ponies, cattle & much more.  The VA Mountains are a great location for warmer months of riding with no humidity and much cooler temps due to higher elevation.  Be sure to bring your warm clothes and rain gear.

6 Nights and 7 fun filled days at camping & trail riding with your horse.  Offering Stalls, RV sites and many amenities. 

 ALL horses  should be fit and sound.  We suggest they be shod all the way around for these trails.  The trails are rocky and will offer hills and mountain terrain.  Boots are also acceptable.  No barefoot horses.   

Limited  Rider space for this Retreat.

Social gathering evey night by the campfire and fun days riding on absolutely fantastic scenic trails!

 It all starts on Sunday- what to expect

Arrive on Sunday afternoon and set up camp & settle in.  We will be available to help you get set up on your arrival. 

Group activities and social gatherings are planned throughout the week.  Equine educational opportunities will include equipment assistance/information and horsemanship guidance with 3 scheduled demonstrations at camp to improve your communication & relationship with your horse.   Each evening will offer our fun group campfire chats to share our stories and adventures of each day. 

Riders can ride on their own or with a group.  Miles and miles of trails can be accessed from camp.  Enjoy a relaxed and peaceful equine experience.  

For PARTICIPATION  Pre-Registration is required.   This Retreat is designed for those who wish to improve their enjoyment and safety while trail riding.  You will feel at home with a group of supportive like minded riders. 
-Please do not bring a horse that has never been outside an arena or show ring. Horses must have had at least some trail experience prior to the Retreat.
If you or your horse have had no trail riding experience, contact PPE for information about what you can do to prepare to participate in a Trail Ride Retreat.
