Visiting Fort Worth

Fort Worth offers a wide variety of dining, entertainment and recreation options. Dine in downtown's Sundance Square or one of several nearby neighborhoods.  Visit the Stockyards National Historic District for entertainment day or night, or explore the local Ale Trail.  Walk, run or bike along the scenic Trinity River.  If you plan to arrive or depart over the weekend before or after the meeting, please book early. September is football season, and hotels will sell out, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
All Task Forces, Study Groups and Ad Hocs will meet during the week of 12-16 September, 2016. Meeting Hotel Information

The Hilton Fort Worth is offering a group rate of $174, exclusive of taxes. The rate is based on availability within the group room block; the room block cut-off date is 12-August. The group rate will be extended three days before and after the room block dates of 10-September through 16-September, if rooms are available. The group rate is not available from the Hilton website, only from the group reservation page. For telephone reservations, use Group Code IEEE on 1-800-HILTONS. Please book early to ensure availability, especially for weekend arrival or extended stays!

There are no mandatory hotel fees, and high speed guest  room internet is complimentary for for rooms reserved at the group rate. Overnight valet parking is available for $26/night plus tax (presently 8.25%)

Hotel Reservation, Cancellation and Early Departure Policies

Guests may change their arrival date, length of stay or cancel a reservation entirely up to 72 hours before check in without penalty. 

Individuals who cancel a reservation less than 72 hours before check in, or who fail to claim a reservation (No-Show), will be charged one night's room and tax. Individuals who change their arrival date less than 72 hours before check in may be charged for their previously reserved first night at the discretion of the hotel. This charge will be posted to the individual guest credit card provided to guarantee the room reservation.

The Hilton charges an Early Departure Fee of one night's room and tax for guests who depart prior to their confirmed departure date.

Registration

Any individual who attends any part of this interim meeting must register and pay a meeting fee. Meeting registration is not transferrable. Registration and meeting fee options are as follow:

Early Registration (Before 11:59pm CDT Tuesday August 16, 2016)

  • $375 US for attendees staying at Hilton Fort Worth (Hilton)
  • $675 US for all other attendees (those not registered at Hilton)

Late/Onsite Registration (After 11:59pm CDT Tuesday August 16, 2016)

  • $625 US for attendees staying at Hilton Fort Worth (Hilton)
  • $825 US for all other attendees (those not registered at Hilton)

The meeting fee covers AV equipment, network/Internet services, power hook-ups for laptop computers, continental breakfast, morning and afternoon refreshments, and meeting services and supplies.

The combined hotel room stays of 802.3 attendees covers the meeting rooms themselves. For this reason, anyone who is not a registered guest at the Hilton Fort Worth must pay a higher meeting fee than attendees staying at the meeting hotel. The correct meeting fee must be paid prior to receiving your badge, which permits entrance to scheduled sessions.

Cancellation Policy

If you register for this meeting and then are unable to attend, please contact the meeting planner. You must request cancellation of your registration no later than 5pm PDT Friday September 2, 2016 to receive a refund of your meeting fee.
