Spring Blast Fundraiser
On Saturday, April 4, 2015, the United States Clay Target Academy will be holding our 3rd Annual Spring Blast clay target shooting event to raise funds for the United States Clay Target Academy supporting Tampa Bay area athletes who have Olympic aspirations. Participants will shoot two rounds of American trap, eat some great food, bid on awesome silent auction items and get in on a firearm raffle or two. We will also have available side games with cash payouts.
The Mission of the United States Clay Target Academy is to train youth and adult athletes in shotgun safety and education. Also, to provide equipment, coaching, travel and support for participating athletes pursuing local, State, National and Olympic goals to represent the United States.
Over the last four competition seasons the USCTA sent from four to ten athletes to participate in USA Shooting and SCTP National Championships throughout the country. Participation in these competitions is required for an athlete to secure a position on the USA Shooting National Junior Olympic Squad, National Junior Team, National Development Team or the National Team, ultimately vying for a spot on the US Olympic Team.
Every year our athletes have come home with National championship individual and team gold, silver or bronze medals. We are having huge success in the program and our young athletes are well on their way to earning that USA on their vest!
Training six days a week, ammunition, targets, equipment and travel to the competitions they must participate in across the country are expensive. We understand that it is the nature of this sport. Unfortunately, some of the parents simply cannot afford to send their athlete to all the events necessary to compete at the National level and realize their Olympic dreams. Therefore, we are reaching out to our community for support.
This shooting event is our main fundraiser and our goal is to cover the cost of training and travel for the USCTA athletes. The funds will also go towards helping us establish a strong grassroots program for National and international shotgun sports training here in South Pinellas County.
The event will accommodate up to 120 participants. People attending with guest tickets will be allowed to join the competition for an additional $65 at the door, space permitting. The $65 registration fee covers targets, ammunition and lunch, the guest fee covers lunch.

Silver Medal Sponsor $1000 - Includes four team member spots*(50) targets, (2) boxes of ammunition, snacks and lunch. Field, Skyway Gun Club and the USCTA Website recognition.
Bronze Medal Sponsor $500 - Includes two team member spots* (50) targets, (2) boxes of ammunition, snacks and lunch. Field, Skyway Gun Club and the USCTA Website recognition.
Field Sponsor $250 - Includes one team member spot* (50) targets, (2) boxes of ammunition, snacks and lunch. Field, Skyway Gun Club and the USCTA Website recognition.
Individual $65 - Includes one team member spot* (50) targets, (2) boxes of ammunition, snacks and lunch.
Non-Shooting Guest $15 - Includes lunch and Silent Auction.
