7:00 a.m.  - Begin boarding vans in parking lot behind Ellis Library

7:30 a.m.  - Depart Jonesboro

10:00 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.  - Arrive Delta Cultural Center- Depot Museum

Greetings by DCC Staff, followed by self-guided tour

11:00 a.m.-11:40 a.m.  - Delta Cultural Center Depot Museum

Self-guided Tour

11:50 a.m.  - Luncheon, DCC Depot Museum

           Welcome by Cathy Cunningham, Community Dev. Rep., Southern Bancorp

-Film Screening - "The Battle for Freedom" – by Dr. Michael Bowman, filmmaker and assistant professor of journalism, Arkansas State University

Tour Civil War Interpretative Sites

  • 1:15 p.m. Ft. Curtis, Hornor House
  • 2:00 p.m. Batteries C & D
  • 2:45 p.m. Freedom Park, Estevan Hall
  • 3:30 p.m. Confederate Cemetery
  • 4:15 p.m. Depart to Pick up Box Meal at Delta Cultural Center- Visitor's Center

4:30 p.m. Depart for Jonesboro

7:30 p.m. Arrive in Jonesboro
