Strata Montessori Parent Education Evening 

Geared towards DVMS Upper Elementary families, but open to all, we will be presenting a clear vision of what we offer at Strata. We will discuss the nature of adolescents and how we meet their developmental needs, and the transition process from DVMS to Strata.

To begin the process, we would like to invite you to a Parent Education Evening on Thursday, January 26, from 5:30 - 7:00, at Strata Montessori Adolescent School.

The Strata students will be preparing fantastic hors d’oeuvres to entice you to join us.

Adolescence is an age where children are adapting socially; they will align themselves and learn their values from the society in which they are placed. Adolescence is also a stage where creativity is flourishing and they need to feel that they can express themselves without judgement. To become their true selves, without the anxiety that is so prevalent in youth today, and without the masks that others hide behind, they need to feel safe and supported. Their vulnerability is the reason we put so much care and attention into creating a natural, inspiring, and engaging program and environment for your adolescent children. Strata is a place where they can learn how to be a caring, capable, and contributing member of a small community, so they can remain true to themselves as they slowly make the transition to adult life.
