Hybrid College Essay Workshop (Sept 11 & 18)

Good grades and test scores aren’t enough to land a spot at a top college, but a standout essay can send your application to the top of the pile. This workshop will allow students to brainstorm, write and refine essay that can be used with multiple applications. Students will draft a college application essay, receive personalized feedback and use feedback to revise and improve the essay.

This workshop will utilize a hybrid format.  Student must attend both sessions:

• September 11 - Session 1 (9:00 AM-11:00 AM)- In person session
• September 18- Session 2 (9:00 AM- 11:00 AM)-Zoom session

Workshop Agenda

• September 11- Session 1-Overview of the college application essays, essay brainstorming activity, understanding essay prompts and begin drafting essay.
• September 14- Essay Draft Due by 5:00 PM
• September 18- Session 2- Students will incorporate strategies/suggestions from essay draft evaluation.
• September 30- Deadline to complete Indiviudal Online Consultation.
