Hybrid College Essay Workshop (Oct. 23 & 30)

Good grades and test scores aren’t enough to land a spot at a top college, but a standout essay can send your application to the top of the pile. This workshop will allow students to brainstorm, write and refine essay that can be used with multiple applications. Students will draft a college application essay, receive personalized feedback and use feedback to revise and improve the essay.

This workshop will utilize a hybrid format.  Student must attend both sessions:

• October 23 - Session 1 (9:00 AM-11:00 AM)- In person session
• October 30- Session 2 (9:00 AM- 11:00 AM)-Zoom session

Workshop Agenda

• October 23- Session 1-Overview of the college application essays, essay brainstorming activity, understanding essay prompts and begin drafting essay.
• October 26- Essay Draft Due by 5:00 PM
• October 30- Session 2- Students will incorporate strategies/suggestions from essay draft evaluation.
• November 15- Deadline to complete Indiviudal Online Consultation.
