PAL Mental Health Care Training
Psychiatric Assistance Line to provide FREE and CME approved all day training!
The PAL team will present in the morning from 8am-12pm on the following:
- Overview of the Psychiatric Consultation Service and the importance of early identification of mental illness.
- Psychopharmacology (Stimulants, SSRI's, SGA's, and Mood Stabilizers)
- Metabolic Monitoring
- Pharmacogenomics testing
- Community Resources, Fast-TrackerMN.org, and collaborative care models
A Nationally Certified Trauma Therapist will present in the afternoon from 1-5pm:
- Psychotherapeutic modalities with a particular focus on evidence-based practices
- Appropriate screening, referral and treatment of traumatic stress in children and youth
- Ensuring adequate assessment and the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in children and youth (e.g., differential diagnosis, alternatives to pharmaceutical treatments, etc.)
When you register, you will have the option to attend Full Day or Half Day (PAL OR Trauma Care session).
*There will be a free lunch available in between sessions from 12pm-1pm if you choose to have a lunch provided for you on the registration form.
Please Note: This training is intended for physicians and other prescribers. Non-prescribing providers are welcome to attend if space is available, but non-prescribing provider registrations will not be confirmed until one week before the training.
