Kirtan

Hosted by Rainbows of Healing

Kirtan is a form of Indian call-and-response devotional singing which has gained significant popularity in the West. We will sing mantras (sound vibrations) in the ancient, sacred language of Sanskrit. The repetition of these mantras cultivates love, acceptance, connection, and clarity. Everyone is welcome and no singing experience is necessary. Come join the joyful noise!

Robin Renee

Robin Renée's kirtan concerts find new and traditional sounds to evoke stillness, bliss, and a sense of Oneness with All. Already a longtime songwriter and performer, in 2001 Robin found herself in the midst of a spiritual deepening that brought with it her blossoming into the fusion of music and spirit. She has since shared the stage with some of the world's best-loved kirtan singers including Krishna Das, Girish, Wynne Paris, and Dave Stringer.
She has recorded the following albums:
Live Devotion (2007)
This. (2013)
All Six Senses (2002)
In Progress (2000)
spirit.rocks.sexy
(2009).

At a live event today, Robin can be found performing an alt-folk solo acoustic set, collaborating with others, or leading group chanting at festivals, in yoga spaces, and in other welcoming venues.

Fortunate to have grown up in a home where spiritual exploration was a given, at age nine she, along with her parents, had the opportunity to meet, listen to, and even attend beach yoga sessions with Ram Dass. First with family and later on her own, Robin became acquainted with meditation, dream study, energywork, and other practices of wisdom and healing that continue to inform her life and work. Her personal spiritual path embraces what moves her most directly, and includes elements of Zen Buddhism, Hinduism and Bhakti Yoga, Eclectic Pagan ritual and celebration, a love of science and reason, and awe of life's beauty and mystery.
