Technology and the Septic Installer/Designer
Tom Gardocki (aka “Dirt Ninja”) of Interstate Landscape Co. and Adam Buckpitt of SITECH North East will present on the use of GPS and 2D machine control for the small site excavation contractor including septic installers. The class will go through a septic project and how an installer can use low-cost GPS technology as well as 2-D machine control to help speed up the installation. For designers, the program will address how designers can use GPS to help with the design process. It all starts with the initial fact finding meeting, to the design of the project with Sketchup, and ends with the system installation process. The session will demonstrate how to use the design to layout and install the details exactly as they were designed. He will also address how to find old system components such as conduit that was buried 4 years ago for a water line or an electrical line? (Program approved by NHDES for 1.0 continuing education contact hour for installers and designers.)
