The Rome Chamber Music Festival was founded by Robert McDuffie in 2003.  Since its inception, the festival has played to an international audience of chamber music enthusiasts and has become one of Rome's most anticipated annual cultural events.  This June, the festival will debut at the historic Teatro Argentina with a distinctive program of contemporary and classical masterworks performed by world-renown artists and aspiring musicians.

Dedicated to nurturing new talent, the Rome Chamber Music Festival seeks to further the education and performing experiences of music students from the United States and abroad.  Each season the festival invites students from the McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University and from across the globe to participate in what is now known as the De Simone & Partners Young Artist Program.  Access to prominent artists and the opportunity to perform alongside them is invaluable to an emerging musician's individual and professional aspirations.
