You ask for specific classes during our survey and we are offering you three fantastic educational training tracks on each day, with something for every inspector!  You select the class that you want or need to attend by the day. You can select one track on one day and another track the next day.  You will need to remain in your selected daily tracks to receive your TREC CE credits.

Track #1 FRIDAY    Electrical Refresh and Reset for Home Inspectors *TREC Approved 8-Hours

We went outside the State of Texas to bring to you a National Home Inspector Speaker. Charles Buell owns and operates a home inspection business in Seattle, WA. As a licensed home inspector in Washington State, an instructor for training new inspectors, serves on the ASHI technical review committee, Charles will present grounding & bonding, remote distribution panels, service equipment, double lugging, split single phase WYE transformers, split bus panels, multi-wire circuits, tandem breakers, HVAC rules, generator interfaces, aluminum wiring & conditions, electrical outlets, GHCT's and AFCIs.  The course will attempt to dispel common home Inspector misconceptions about electricity and electoral installations.It will provide information relevant to the recent adoption of the 2017 NEC, and in general, the course is 2017 NEC based.

Track #2 FRIDAY  Inspectors Legal & Ethic  (Part 1 of 2) 8AM-12PM and Texas Standards of Practice Review (Part 2 of 2) 1PM-5PM, *TREC Approved 8-Hours for attending both classes

 This class is required to renew your Texas Inspectors License. Founding TPREIA Member, Brad Phillips, a TPREIA Master Inspector, a IRC Code Certified Inspector, a TREC Inspector's Advisory Committee Member and previous Chair, will be our Instructor for these two 4-hour classes. You must take these classes once within your two-year license renewal period. If you are missing this class for renewing your license, don't miss this class.  

Track #3 FRIDAY   Pre-Drywall /Pre-Cover Inspection for New Construction (In the Field) *TREC Approved 8-Hours - THIS CLASS IS FULL

This class is designed to expand your knowledge and to give you indepth training on pre-drywall inspections for new construction. Multiple International Code Certified Inspectors, TPREIA Master Inspectors and InterNACHI Master Certified Inspectors will walk small groups through new construction homes and discuss common issues found and cover many topics that Inspectors need to know. Our Instructors are some of the very best in the field,You are certain to learn things that will benefit you in performing pre-drywall inspections. This class is in high demand and will be offered on both days of our conference to meet the demands for Inspectors and Engineers to be able to attend. You can attend both days, if you like, but you will recieve only 8-Hours TREC CEU.

Track #1 SATURDAY    Inspections for Wind Loads and Advanced Framing , **TREC Approved 8-Hours

Professional Engineer, Berry Buswell, will present to participants an overview of how a typical wood-frame residential structure is designed and constructed to resist the loads imposed by wind.  An in-depth discussion will cover the specific construction methods and systems used to resist wind loads and the inspection techniques used to evaluate those systems.  The details of advanced framing methods will be reviewed including wall framing, insulated corners and headers, ladder blocking and structural wood panel sheathing along with a review of typical deficiencies.  You will be blown away with what this class offers. 

Track #2 SATURDAY   Inspecting the High-Performace Home * *TREC Approved 8-Hours

TPREIA Master Inspector, Steven Rhinehart is a ICC Code Certified Inspector and the founder of Rinehart Real Estate Inspection Company, a multi-inspector firm that serves the State of Texas.  Steven serves on the TREC Inspector's Advisory Board Member and has been past Chairman with years of inspection experience. This course is designed to give Inspectors the best direction of the bigger picture of what they are seeing as home Inspectors in advanced 21 century construction. The course will cover: design, foundations, building enclosure, cool roofs, air barriers, thermal barriers, appliances, performance testing and specific SOP requirements in each of the qualifying areas as they relate to the areas covered.  The course will cover how the information covered can be integrated into report writing.  You won't be disappointed in this class and the great information and knowledge that Steven will share with those in attendence.
