Accommodations: There are many lodging options in Freeport, most offer complimentary breakfasts.  Econo Lodge and Super 8 have rates as low as $65. Special conference rates are being provided by Hampton Inn ($95), Holiday Inn Express ($86) and Hilton Garden Inn ($114). We do recommend that you reserve early.

 AWSNA Northeast/Québec Regional Conference and Delegates Meeting March 2014

This year’s conference takes place at the Desert Road campus of

 Merriconeag Waldorf School in Freeport, Maine

 Friday March 21 – Sunday March 23, 2014

General Information: Friday’s presentation is an open lecture for all members of the community:  teachers, board members, parents, friends, etc. The presentations on Saturday and Sunday are geared toward those who work at a Waldorf school or who are associated with a  Waldorf school.


Registration opens at 5:00 pm on Friday, the program begins at 7 pm and closes at Noon on Sunday.  Delegates will meet Friday March 21 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Merriconeag’s Pineland Campus.

 

Note: In advance of the keynote lectures, we ask that you please read Steiner’s

introductory remarks from the  Study of Man/Foundations of Human Experience course.

Workshops: Conference participants will attend one workshop.  As space is limited, we ask that you indicate your first, second and third choice when registering and we will do our best to fit everyone to their first choices. (workshop information can be found at above link)

 

Fees and Food: The Conference Fee is $150.  If registered before Feb.28, 2014, the fee is $125.  Saturday’s lunch will be catered by Riverfront Barbeque & Grille and includes vegetarian and gluten-free options. 


Lunch fee is $15 and needs to be reserved and paid by March 15, 2014.

Snacks for Saturday and Sunday are included with registration.

Participants are responsible for Friday and Saturday dinner and all breakfast.
