The Rivertown Paddle:  Race and Regatta

The 1st Annual Rivertown Paddle Race & Regatta is a kayak and paddleboard event featuring a race lineup suitable for all levels of paddlers. In the spirit of true paddler communities everywhere, we have 3 distances to accommodate different levels of paddling.  The Cox Ferry 10K Loop for advanced and distance oriented paddlers, The 5K Trestle Loop for intermediate and novice paddlers, and a family friendly beginner short course 2.5K Kingston Lake Loop.  Following the distance events in the morning the afternoon will be filled with regatta style fun sprints and relay races that will have everyone cheering or participating in one of our fun themed events all in view from the Conway Riverwalk.  Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in age groups and divisions for Kayak, SUP and Canoe as well as Champion Awards for all regatta event winners.  The awards presentation will be held at Bonfire on the Conway Riverwalk.

The Regatta Fun Races include:  two on board, reverse paddle, doggie paddle, best trick and  best costume.

You may rent equipment to participate in the event from Waccamaw Outfitters (kayak) or Island Inspired Board Company (SUP).

The race staging area is located in the grass lot at Kingston Marina and beside The Cypress Inn.  The Cypress Inn is offering a 20% lodging discount to race participants.  Just contact The Cypress Inn  to make your reservation.
