Project Ahimsa and the Desai Foundation are proud to present the 1st Diwali event of its kind with music, food & vibes! Featuring DJ Anjali & the Incredible Kid (the iconic Portland DJ duo behind Tropitaal- a Desi-Latino sound) & Bobby Friction (BBC radio).

This event is to raise funds to expand the Desai Foundation's Asani Sanitary Napkin program to Rajasthan - this means menstrual health hygiene education, production and distribution of hundreds of villages in India. This event will also support the incredible work Project Ahimsa does to bring children quality music education across India - and to help share it with the world!

This event will also support Project Ahimsa's goal to support  eduction grants for 16 children in Gujarat that are part of Manav Sadhna NGO responsible the Jai Jagat arts program.

Let's get together and celebrate Diwali - the Cali way!

More about the Desai Foundation's Asani Napkin Program

Our brand of sanitary napkins is called Asani, which means "with ease"... because something so natural shouldn't be so hard to take care of. Our program creates life long good habits that can have major impacts on the health of girls and women. Our unique methodology allows for women to participate in our program in a flexible way, in the role that speaks most to them. We work to cultivate dignity for those we serve so they can break free from the stigma and shame, stay in school, and participate in the workforce.
