Rho Lambda celebrates 20 years!

As Rho Lambda officially celebrated 20 years, we were able to celebrate some great milestones and mourn a loss in our foundation.  Like all Delta women, we were raised to pick up the pieces and proceed on with life.  As we do that, let's take the time to fellowship and remember the good times we had and will continue to have as a member of Delta Sigma Theta.

This year the members of Rho Lambda are planning a fellowship weekend with all Rho Lambdians during USC Aiken's Homecoming weekend on February 17-19, 2012.  Those that register will receive a gift recognizing 20 years of Rho Lambda at USC Aiken.  The cost of the reunion is $35.00 with additional guests costing $8.00 per person.

Also, you may be receiving coorspondence from USCA Alumni Relations Office about Homecoming.  If you read below, we have also incorporated some of their events with the Rho Lambda Reunion.  If you RSVP with us or Alumni Relations, you will be included in one count, not multiple times.  You can RSVP with one or the other but you must pay the Rho Lambda Reunion fee on this site if you want to be involved with the Rho Lambda reunion as well.

 The following events for the reunion will take place:

 Friday, February 3, 2012: 

* This is not a part of the reunion but we wanted to let you know of the event.

-  Aiken Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta hosts "Peppermint Affair:" a semi-formal dance at the USC Aiken Business and Education Building 2nd floor gym from 8:00pm-1:00 am.  This is a ticketed event which costs $25.00 per person.  You will enjoy heavy hor d' oeuvres, dancing and fellowship with other members of Delta Sigma Theta.  Sorors are asked to wear Crimson and/or Cream.  This is a BYOB event.  If you want tickets you can contact either Kristin Allen or Sharese Addison.

Friday, February 17, 2012:

- Meet and Greet at Soiree in the Alley at 7:30 pm - until.  The Soiree is located at 231 The Alley  (off of Lauren's St, downtown Aiken) Aiken, SC 29801.  Registration packets/bag can be picked up at this event.

- Annual USC Aiken Grown and Sexy Alumni Homecoming Party (Alton Aaron's event) at Econo Lodge on 3560 Richland Ave.   It's a laid back event that features Karaoke and Drinks and celebrating the newest induction of Kendrick Smith into the USC Aiken Athletics Hall of Fame.  Discounts for registered reunion members showing their red wristband will receive $1 off the $5 admission price.

Saturday, February 18, 2012:

- Women and Men's Alumni Basketball game at the Convocation Center 10-12pm  (opportunity to perform the Founder's Step during halftime of both games)

- Rho Lambda's Tailgating spot outside of the Convocation Center at 2:30 pm.  This will be a catered event as we enjoy each other's company under a tent with some good food.  Don't forget to bring your camp chairs!  Any additional guests must pay the $8.

- USC Aiken Homecoming Basketball game: Women @ 5:30, Men @ 7:30pm (tickets will be provided for those that register and for their guests).  There will be a special section for Rho Lambda Reunion registrants to support our Homecoming Queen candidate Rikki Luck, Spring 2010.

- Watering Hole Dinner at the Convocation Center side gym: Stop by the Alumni VIP Room to pick up your free ticket for dinner from 7-8pm during the basketball game.

- Annual USC Aiken Grown and Sexy Alumni Homecoming Party (Alton Aaron's event) at Econo Lodge on 3560 Richland Ave.  Saturday night is for the grown and sexy and you must be 21 and over.  Discounts for registered reunion members showing their red wristband will receive $5 off the $10 admission price.
