Founded in 2001, The Campus Kitchens Project is a national organization that empowers student volunteers to fight hunger in their community. By organizing the bi-annual benefit Dining with the Chefs the UMES Hospitality and Tourism Management students will raise funds for a fundamental community-based partnership program. The Universities at Shady Grove Campus Kitchen Project provides more than 200 meals each month to the families participating with the Dwelling Place, Inc.
During our second Dining with the Chefs benefit, guests will have the opportunity to meet and dine with MoCo prominent chefs and leading restauranteurs. The chefs will collaborate with students to design the meal courses for the evening. Each of the four courses will consist of several "tasting dishes" to honor the MoCo chefs.
In addition to a delectable sit-down dinner, the evening will also feature a cocktail hour sponsored by Dogfish Head Ale House, a silent auction and a live auction.
