Feed the Need 3-Player Tournament and Food Drive
Everyone has a chance to make a difference. Lets Pool Together to help out our DC community by raising money and donating food items to a worth cause. This year, we have chosen an organization in Washington DC called Martha's Table. They focus on providing support in the areas of quality education, health and wellness resources as well as family engagement in the DC area. For more information, go to: https://marthastable.org/
The format for this event will mirror the Team Captain event
- Modified Single Elimination Tournament
- $90 per team
- 32 team field
- One senior skill level can play per match (senior skill levels are 6,7,8,9)
- Team Captains flip a coin to determine who will declare their line up first. Winner of the toss can decide to declare their line up, or to have the opponent declare their line up first. The Captains then list their players in ascending order (lowest to highest). That list determines the player rotation for the match and is locked. Once players are declared, the players cannot be changed.
- Play starts with the first two players lagging for the break and then playing an 8ball rack. Whichever team wins that first rack, the next player in the rotation for their team breaks the next rack (9ball). The rotation continues alternating 8ball and 9ball games until a team has reached their Games Must Win (based on skill level total). When the 3rd game is over, it reverts back to the first players and continues that pattern until a winning team is determined. In 9Ball whoever legally pockets the 9Ball is the winner of the rack.
- Each rack is worth 1 team point.
