Mental Health Workshop for Faith Leaders 

Learn more about mental health, mental illness, and treatment, and help break down the barriers that prevent people from seeking the care they need.

Lunch is included. Suggested donation of $20.

Dr. John Tumeh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with board certification in Adult Psychiatry. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary, followed by earning his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He subsequently completed residency in General Adult Psychiatry at University of Pittsburgh's Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.  Dr. Tumeh is Chief of Psychiatry at Foundation Psychiatry, P.C. based at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Rev. Katie Sundermeier graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Communication Studies and German.  Following two years in a corporate job with an international logistics company, Katie felt called to ministry with older adults and a call to ordination.  She enrolled at Princeton Theological Seminary and did additional course work at the University of Bonn, Germany. Katie is a certified Stephen Ministry Leader and a trained facilitator for Prepare/Enrich, a pre-marital counseling platform, and is the Executive Director of the Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta whose mission is to deliver traditional and spiritually integrated counseling to the diverse Midtown community, regardless of one’s ability to pay.
