In this course, ECE educators will be able to describe the importance of professionalism in the ECE field, while also learning to evaluate where they can improve, generate, and implement more professional ideals into their practice. The focus will be on two specific domains: professionalism within yourself and professionalism within your interactions with colleagues, parents, children, and others. Course attendees will use reflective practice to recognize and overcome barriers that professional educators face in our community. Guidance on effective communication, emotional intelligence, conflict, and presentation will be discussed. At the conclusion of the course, attendees will feel confident in their personal demonstration of professionalism.

This class is subject to change or cancellation at the discretion of the Council.
