When planning activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, play is central to the development of children’s gross and fine motor skills. It is through play that, children practice the coordination of large body movements, as well as the small movements of hands and fingers. Planning play activities that provide children with regular opportunities to move their bodies is crucial in supporting young children’s motor skill development.  This class will explore how to create a good balance of appropriate gross and fine motor activities.
