SPARK is a research initiative funded by the Simons Foundation, and CHOP's Center for Autism Research is among 25 research sites across the country that are joining forces to enroll 50,000 people with autism spectrum disorder- and their biological parents- in order to learn about the genetic causes of autism.
To RSVP, please email
Lindsey Demarco at spark@email.chop.edu or call 267-426-4971.
Lindsey will follow up with you to schedule a SPARK sign-up time during the event.
Join CAR for activities, treats, and prizes- and help us SPARK a movement for autism by joining families across the country to be part of the largest-ever autism study in the U.S.!
This is a free event for individuals with autism and their families to take a break from the heat, have some treats and enjoy sensory-friendly activities- and to participate in autism research!
Here's how:
To sign up for the SPARK study, you will meet with a research coordinator from the Center for Autism Research to complete a straightforward 20-minute online registration.
Both biological parents must be present at the event in order to complete the study. Experienced CAR staff will be available to keep children entertained with activities while parents complete the registration. After parents complete the registration, all family members will provide a saliva sample at your own pace, and your study participation will be complete!
