All of these movements depend on a few things to continue - food, water and air. None is as important as air. You can live an incredibly long time without food; a surprisingly long time without water, but stop breathing and you've only got a matter of minutes!
The quality and flexibilty of your breathing patterns effect every aspect of your lived experience. Whether it is physical comfort or performance, the ability to relax, rest and replenish yourslef, or your psychological and spiritual well-being, breathing plays a crucial role.
As there is no one right way to breathe - what we are after is a great freedom and diversity of potential breathing patterns. This workshop will enhance your ability to breathe with greater comfort, ease, depth and variety, opening you to your potential.
We will explore 4 Awareness Through Movement(R) lessons over the course of the day, as well as explain the most essential aspects of the mechanism and anatomy of breathing. The mechanisms and anataomy of breathing talk will be only as long as needed to help you understand only what will make a difference to your quality of movements.
