PROGRAM GOALS: APIC NE strives to maintain the highest standards for Infection Preventionists. This year's program goals are:
- To educate the attendees about the transition between outpatient settings e.g., Nursing Homes and the inpatient setting as it pertains to Infection Prevention.
- To identify and implement guidelines regarding the care of the environment and the care of the Laundry as it applies to Infection Prevention.
- To learn about care of the dialysis patient as it specifically relates to Infection Prevention
- To review the challenges facilities face to protect patients, staff and visitors when dealing with water damage and mold.
Who Should Attend: This program is appropriate for healthcare professionals in Acute, Sub-Acute, Ambulatory Care, Long Term Care facilities and Home Health Agencies. This includes: Professionals in Infection Prevention and Control, Quality Improvement, Safety, Risk Management, Physicians, Medical Technologists, Laboratory Scientists, Nurses, Professionals in: Engineering and Environmental Services.
PROGRAM CREDITS:
This activity has been submitted to Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD) for approval to award contact hours. The Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD) is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
