Learning Objectives:  As a result of participating in the Infection Prevention Conference, the attendees will be able to: 

  • Identify three risks associated with Peripheral Intravenous Catheters(PIC) and implement new standards for the management of PIC's
  • Adopt the use of data collection tools to influence the quality of infection prevention activities.
  • Initiate activities to prevent the spread of infection through reusable medical devices.
  • Initiate review of systems utilized for disinfection of water systems and influence selection of proper chemicals to reduce occurrence of HAI's through water sources.

 PROGRAM Contact Hours 4.5: This activity has been submitted to Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD)  for approval to award contact hours.  The  Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD)  is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Refund Policy: Consideration for a refund will be given inspecial circumstances if it is requirested prior to October 14, 2017.  requests must be in writing to the Treasurer.  If a refund is granted a $5 is deducted from the paid amount. All refund request sent within a week ofthe event will receive a credit for a future conerence. A refund nor credit will be given if notification is not provided prior to the conference.

HANDOUTS will be located online at APICNE.ORG.  They will be available on or after October 17, 2017  printed handouts will not be provided.
