Imagine & Create Dance & Art Summer Camp 2014

Around the World (in 4 fun filled days)

Imagine & Create Dance and Art Summer Camps are an exciting opportunity for children K - 6th to spend 4 fun filled days learning dance and art. Local art teacher Christy Janacek, owner of Artz 'N' Action, and Allison Kirby, owner of Allison's Dance Academy, will help students discover their talents while having fun learning new dances and creating inspired works of art. Each day will have a unique theme and the session will end with a student studio performance and art gallery exhibition for parents to attend.

  Day 1 - Monday, July 21st - IRELAND
 Campers will learn to  River Dance & Irish Jig from  Ms. Allison. Ms. Christy  will lead an enchanting craft  project building Fairy &  Leprechaun  Houses/Catchers, and instruct students  in the fine art of Watercolor in a Rainbow themed painting. Students will explore Irish folklore and history and play Mr. Fox, Pot of Gold and other Irish Games.

 Day 2 - Tuesday, July 22nd - INDIA 
 Campers will discover  the new dance moves of  Bollywood as well as learn  some Indian Folk  Dances. They will create Tie Dye  Pashmina Art and  colorful Indian Mandala designs.  They will learn about India and Bollywood and the play  traditional Indian games such as Snakes & Ladders and Latoo’s (spinning tops).

 Day 3 - Wednesday, July 23rd - Southern US
 Even natives will  learn something new on Southern  US day as we study Clogging & Square  Dancing f  days gone by. We will create Corn Husk Guys and  Dolls play southern games like Jax & Hopscotch.

 Day 4 - Thursday, July 24th - The Islands
 Back by popular demand! Students had so much fun  at last years camp learning to hula and limbo that we  are bringing it back with a study of the Islands of  Polynesia and the Caribbean. We  will learn to Salsa and create Under the Sea Art, String Lei's and have an end of session Luau party in celebration of Island Life. 

The Imagine & Create Dance and Art Camps will take place at Allison’s Dance Academy and will be facilitated by Allison Kirby and Christy Janacek. There will be an Art Gallery Exhibition, Student Performance and Review on the last day of camp for parents  and friends to attend from 12:00 - 12:30 PM.

The cost for each week is $200. However there is a discount of 15% available if you register by July 1st! Siblings may attend for $175. 

**NEW** As requested, we are now offering a day rate of $65 per day, but you must RSVP so that we can have enough supplies on hand.
