Order of the Engineer Ceremony at CPP

Have you participated in an Order of the Engineer Ceremony? If you haven't received your pinky ring yet, this will be a great opportunity to do so!

The Order of the Engineer was initiated in the United States to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer. Participants take the Obligation of the Engineer and wear a steel ring as a reminder of their commitment to high ethics and professionalism.  Join us at Cal Poly Pomona and participate in the Order of Engineer (Ring Ceremony).

The Ring Ceremony is the public induction of candidates into the Order of the Engineer, during which the engineer candidates formally accept the Obligation of an engineer and receive a stainless steel ring to be worn as a symbol on the fifth finger of the working hand.

Join us on May 2, 2014 at Cal Poly Pomona, where ASCE SB/R YMF, CBU Student Chapter, SB/R Branch and the Cal Poly Student Chapter will take an oath and receive our pinky ring.

Cost: (Includes Ring, Parking Pass at Cal Poly Pomona & light refreshments)

$20 - ASCE YMF, CBU ASCE Student Chapter & ASCE Branch Members

$25 - Non-Members

$15 - CPP Students and Faculty

Guests are free, may watch & support the Order of Engineer Ceremony.

We hope to see you there!
