The 2016 RBCC Prayer Breakfast!

Wednesday, June 8 at The Crowne Plaza

Breakfast buffet beginning at 7:00am - Program begins promptly at 7:30am

This annual Christian prayer gathering is a long-standing tradition, focused on prayer, fellowship and inspirational insight from our guest speakers. This year, we are pleased to present:

Tim Kreider

Author of Refuse to Drown

Tim Kreider is the author of Refuse to Drown.  He first became interested in sharing his story after realizing his son would be spending the rest of his life in prison.  It wasn’t only the crime his son had committed but also the role Tim played in Alec’s incarceration that took Tim to a dark and hopeless place.  His book was birthed from his writings during this time.  Tim was on a personal journey to regain his wholeness and joy.  It was this journey that finally convinced Tim that he needed to share his experience with others.  Perhaps in sharing his story a horrible tragedy could be prevented in another family or community.  Perhaps individuals struggling with their own brokenness and pain would find hope and inspiration in his story.  Perhaps, a life could be changed and saved.

Tim founded and started the non-profit Also-Me (www.also-me.org), designed to provide help and hope to others.  During his quest to heal and become whole again, Tim learned valuable lessons on forgiveness (of himself and others), the power of faith, and came to understand he is not alone.  He realized that it was okay to give himself permission to be happy and enjoy life in spite of all that was lost.  Helping others find their own path to peace and joy has become a mission for Tim.

In addition, RBCC will present two awards:

The City on a Hill Award - presented to a person or couple in recognition of their light shining brightly before others, allowing their good deeds to bring glory to our Father in heaven.

Recipient: Pastor Bryan Koch, Lead Pastor for Glad Tidings Church

The Cornelius Award - Presented to a person or couple in recognition of their generousity to those in need and their care for the community-at-large.

Recipients: Eric and Jeannie Savage

As always, they'll be plenty of time to connect with other attendees, renew acquaintances and meet new friends. RBCC's staff and board will be on hand to give an update on all the great work that has been happening within congregations.

You don't want to miss this breakfast! Gather your friends, co-workers, fellow congregation members          and fill a table. See you on June 8!
