Anti-Bias Education and Culturally Responsive Teaching

Culturally responsive teaching is used to inform our teaching practice and make choices that engage, motivate, support and expand the intellectual capacity of all students. In this training, we will practice how to insert a culturally responsive lens to our daily activities.

Culturally responsive teaching is defined as using cultural knowledge, prior experiences, frames of reference and performance styles of ethnically diverse students to make learning encounters more relevant and effective for them. (Gay 2019)
