Outside of the Box: Expanding Your HighScope Classroom & Materials | Thursday, November 10th, 2021

You have your pre-made classroom area signs, you're using a message board, and you've added the recommended materials to your classroom space. The provided standard HighScope materials are a great place to start. But, do they really reflect your classroom community? Join this workshop to break out of the box and create a High Scope practice where you and your students are fully present, where you're meeting learning standards but also cultivating a space that says "yes" to children's interests, identities, and joy beyond the script. Participants will come away with fresh new ideas for building a teaching practice that feels personal, empowering, and built for the kids in your classroom.

Trainer: Rachel Franz, Twig & Thread Consulting
Location: Virtual (Zoom link will be sent prior to training date)
Audience: HighScope educators who have completed the Preschool Curriculum Course (PCC) and work in a HighScope preschool.
