Introductory Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ: SE-2), Preschool (March 2022)
This training is an introductory training on the social-emotional developmental screening tool Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ:SE-2).
The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ:SE-2) gathers parent observations and insights to create a snapshot of the child's social-emotional development.
Community providers can use the ASQ to empower parents and facilitate the family's connection to relevant resources. In this training, you will discuss the following core copenents:
- Why screen social-emotional development
- Challenges in assessing social-emotional development
- Developmental organzational framework
- Features of the ASQ:SE-2 with items exercise
- How to score and interpret the ASQ:SE-2
- Referral considerations and follow-up recommendations
