Includes “Winter Nature Photography Basics” class on Friday, February 20th, 3:00-5:00PM 

Join an exclusive photo bus tour through Yellowstone National Park with the Wolf Tracker, Nathan Varley Ph.D, Tamron’s Jeff Allen and F-11 Photographic Supplies. This full day adventure begins in Gardiner, MT and explores one of the world's most beautiful places. With the famous trunks full of Tamron lenses at your disposal, the day promises to be a photographic gold mine! The tour includes friends, fun, lunch, and who knows what kind of amazing photo opportunities?

Students will meet the bus at the Best Western, Gardiner at 8:15am. The bus is leaving at 8:30. Attendees vehicles can be left in the parking lot of the Best Western for the day. Lodging is not included in the workshop admission, if student choose to stay in Gardiner. There will be coffee and yummy snacks on the way in to the Park. Entrance fee in to Yellowstone is included as well as a nice lunch. There will be some spotting scopes available in addition to all the Tamron gear etc. Students will be back in Gardiner mid to late afternoon.

About your hosts: 

Photography has been Jeff Allen's passion for over 30 years. As a pro he has worked in the wedding, portrait, nature, news and sports photography genres as well as taught thousands of photographers how to create better images. As a National Technical Representative for Tamron, Allen is a pro at helping people to choose equipment that's right for them. 

Nathan Varley has lived in Yellowstone for most of his life and works with wolves and other wildlife species.  He maintains a wildlife ecology research program in partnership with the park and several universities. Varley specializes in the natural and cultural history of the park, wildlife observation, and backcountry wilderness travel. Varley and his wife, Linda Thurston, own The Wild Side LLC touring company where exceptional wildlife sightings and amazing secret spots are the norm.

Winter Nature Photography Basics

Get insights and tips for shooting winter nature and wildlife photographs in this all-brands-welcome class taught by Tamron’s Jeff Allen at F-11 Photographic Supplies. Learn techniques and camera settings that help you capture the stunning winter subjects that inspire you.  Gain insight on shooting grand landscapes, waterfalls, macro and wildlife images. Learn about angle of view, point of view, depth of field, shutter speeds, ISO settings and how to use them to develop your vision. Get inside tips on how to stay warm and manage your camera equipment in extreme winter conditions.

Class is $29.99 (free with workshop registration) and meets Friday, February 20th, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Pre-registration is required. Bring your curiosity and your questions to get the most from Allen’s presentation.
