Rabbit and Squirrel Hunt

Let’s get outside this winter! Anyone can join us for Edible Outdoors and Backcountry Hunter and Anglers’ (BHA) Squirrel and Rabbit Hunt on our very own public lands. If you have never hunted, come along for the walk to see what a hunt looks like. If you have your hunting license, please join us regardless of your experience level. We will have mentors on hand to help with technique and offer tips. We will be learning about the ethics and sustainability of hunting local food, and about the importance of conservation and access to public lands. After the hunt, we will head to Walker Homestead to learn how to clean rabbits and squirrels. Then we will learn a few cooking techniques and taste some wild game bites made by exceptional local chef, Chris Grebner.

This event is designed for folks 18 and older, unless parents or guardians accompany students who are 16 and older.
