2022 Bowling Pin League at
Olofson Shooting Range 

Join us for the 2022 Bowling Pin League at Olofoson Shooting Range! 

Iowa DNR will be hosting a 5 week rifle and pistol bowling pin league. Scores will accumulate for 4 weeks and be used for a 5th week, bracket style, double elimination tournament on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.  

Participants will be able to choose between two divisions to participate in: Rifle (.22 LR only) or Pistols (up to .44 Magnum - less than 284 PF). 

There will be four stages (distances) that each shooter will shoot: 10 yards, 15 yards, 20 yards and 25 yards. One point will be awarded for each pin knocked down; two points will be awarded for each pin knocked off the table; and 2 points will be awarded for each remaining cartridge, after the table is cleared. This combines for a maximum total score of 20 points for each stage (distance) and a maximum total score of 80 points for each league night.

More details:

Each shooter has 30 seconds to complete each stage (distance).
Each shooter has a maximum of 10 rounds per stage (distance).
There will be a maximum of 7 shooters per flight, for a total of 21 shooters in the league.

Awards will be given for each division's (rifle and pistol) top shooter, for both the league and the tournament. 

Please note, for the double elimination tournament on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, all shooters will be required to meet at 4pm to participate.
