Breaking the Stigma: African American Mental Health Symposium, EVOLVING…Silent No More!

The fourth annual African American Mental Health Symposium (AAMHS) will be held on Friday, Oct. 14 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Western Michigan University College of Health and Human Services building in Kalamazoo, Mich. The AAMHS is a public event that creates a platform for bringing increased awareness of the mental health experiences

The full-day event will feature:

  • Two keynote speakers
  • Six workshops
  • Closing Discussion
  • In person or virtual attendance
  • Social Work, Nursing, and McBAP CEUs available
