PROGRAM INFORMATION 

Family Faith Formation (Grades 1-8)

Monthly whole family religious education program which meets at: 

Sunday Morning 9 am to 10:15 am (monthly)

Sunday afternoon at 1:00-2:15 pm (monthly)

Monday Evening at 5:45 to 7:00 pm (monthly)

Students attend a class according to grade level.

Parents meet in the St. Mary School Hall or NBRC to receive guidance and formation to support the faith development of their children. Parents work with their children at home for the remainder of the month. 

 

Religious Education Weekly Classes  (Grades 1-5)

Classes meet in St. Mary School. 

Monday  4:30-5:30 pm (weekly)

Sunday 10:30-11:30 am  (weekly) 

 

Middle School EDGE Program  (Grade 6 and 7)

Middle school teens engage in their faith in a fun and energetic environment.  A majority of time spent at an EDGE afternoon happens in a large group setting. EDGE meets on Tuesday or Wednesay weekly at 4:30 to 5:45 PM in the St Mary School Hall. 

Chosen  (Confirmation Prep- Grade 8) 

Will meet weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday at 6:00-7:15 PM in the St. Mary school building. 

Confirmation Grade 9 

Candidates will meet twice a month on Sunday at 1:00-2:15 PM or Monday at 6:00-7:15PM in the St. Mary School Building . All Candidates should be Baptized Catholics.

Students’ Rights:

  1. The right to learn more about God.
  2. The right to share your ideas with others.
  3. The right to ask questions.
  4. The right to feel comfortable and welcome.

 

Students’ Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible to treat others with kindness.
  2. Responsible to listen quietly.
  3. Responsible to say what is on your mind politely.
  4. Responsible to participate in class activities.

 

Catechist’ Rights:

  1. Right to be treated with respect.
  2. Right to have quiet when you are speaking.
  3. Right to have students willing to be helpful and polite.


Catechists' Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible to treat students with respect.
  2. Responsible to be prepared.
  3. Right to be a model of Christian living for students.
  4. Responsible to "follow" the syllabus. 

 

Parents' Rights:

  1. Right to know what is happening in your child’s class.
  2. Right to visit the class.
  3. Right to expect a quality program of religious education.

 

Parents' Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for your child’s consistent attendance.
  2. Responsible to discuss each lesson with your child.
  3. Responsible for making sure that your child knows his/her prayers and attends Mass.
  4. Responsible to be a model of Christian living for your child.
