The Downs Link follows two disused railway lines and crosses the Low Weald, South Downs and the Coastal Plain that has lain doormant since trains departed in the 1960's.
The embankments and cuttings have become a green corridor for wildlife and people and the route connencts a variety of habitats, including rivers like the River Adur.
It also provides a flat and traffic free cycling environment ideal for families. This charity ride offers an excellent opportunity to cycle the Downs Link in its entirety.

ABOUT THE ARGUS APPEAL: The Argus Appeal is a charity that has been working in the heart of Sussex for over 55 years making a valuable contribution to many lives. It is generously supported by Legal & General, which ensures that EVERY penny raised goes directly to charity.

Your £20 registration fee includes: Full mechanical support, courtesy of Giant Cycles, fully signposted route, regular checkpoints (including lunch) and water, experienced cycle stewards and back up vehicle.

OUR COMMITMENT: *In addition to your registration fee each cyclist MUST raise a minimum of £25 (+gift aid) sponsorship exclusively for The Argus Appeal collected six weeks after the event.
