Course Objectives:

  1. Define the impact of substance use during pregnancy
  2. Appreciate obstetrical and neonatal complications from substance use during pregnancy
  3. Discuss treatment options for opioid use disorder during pregnancy
  4. Review risks of untreated depression and anxiety in pregnancy
  5. Discuss pharmacological management 
  6. Appreciate unique factors in the management of perinatal anxiety and depression 
  7. Review the risks or untreated psychosis and mood disorders in pregnancy
  8. Discuss the risks of mood stabilizers and antipsychotics in pregnancy
  9. Appreciate unique factors in the management of mood disorders in pregnancy
