EDAS Covid Conversations #4

This is our fourth EDAS Covid Conversation; an opportunity for Scotland's economic development community to share different perspectives on the pandemic and in particular share experience and ideas for policy and practice.

On 3rd July, we’ll be discussing Economic Recovery from Covid: Perspectives from Other Countries and how recovery is starting across Europe and beyond and what Scotland can learn.

Chaired by Charlie Woods, Guest Contributors include:

Dr Fabian Zuleeg, Chief Executive and Chief Economist, European Policy Centre, Brussels.

Current political, social and economic issues relating to recovery across Europe.

Dr David Skilling, Founding Director, Landfall Strategy Group.

Sharing his recommendations for Scotland, published yesterday by the Scottish Government Economic Recovery Group – fundamentally to: increase investment in research and innovation; give new impetus to the upgrading of skills; reprioritise support towards strategic growth sectors - digital, life sciences, green.

Charles Abbott and Matt Broadbent, Senior EU Policy & Funding Executives with Scotland Europa

An insight into work with EU networks and Scottish partners.
