EDAS Covid Conversations #7

This is our seventh EDAS Covid Conversation; an opportunity for Scotland's economic development community to share different perspectives on the pandemic and in particular share experience and ideas for policy and practice.

The pandemic’s impact on the economy, compounded by the end of full support for businesses and their employees, is having a massive effect on Scotland’s labour market.

With rapidly rising unemployment and fundamental changes to the workplace as we know it, what is the scope of the challenge we face and how can we mitigate these rapid and economic and social changes on the people most affected?

Join EDAS Chair, Liz McEntee, for a discussion with panel guests:

  • Chris Brodie, Head of Skills Planning and Sector Development, Skills Development Scotland;
  • Sandy Begbie CBE, leading on Scottish Government’s Youth Guarantee and
  • Pamela Smith, Employability Partnership Manager, Improvement Service.
