Meet the Conference Emcee
Timothy E. Foley, CRPC®
Tim Foley is a Relationship Manager for Diversified Brokerage Services, one of the largest national brokerage agencies specializing in life insurance. He provides the information, tools, and personalized assistance to help agents and advisors in providing their clients with protection for the unexpected.
Tim serves brokers by offering the advantages of DBS’ comprehensive product and service model. He is affiliated with an extensive network of insurance professionals through the professional associations NAIFA, Chicago Finance & Insurance Professionals LiNC., and Alpha Gamma Rho Alumni Association. Foley’s experience as a Lobbyist for the life insurance industry in D.C. has also cultivated relationships and an understanding of legislative issues relating to the industry.
Tim is the 2022 NAIFA IL President and has served on the state board since 2017. He has been a loyal NAIFA member since February 2012. Tim is also a graduate from NAIFA’s Leadership in Life Institute (LILI).
Tim and his wife Kristin live in Lake Forest with their newborn daughter Emma Rose and dog Millie.
NAIFA IL End of Summer Spectacular
Sept. 22-23, 2022
Join us for a fun-filled and educational two-day event, the NAIFA IL End of Summer Spectacular will be held September 22-23, 2022 in Bloomington!
On Sept. 22nd, a golf outing will be held to raise funds and awareness of St. Jude's Children's Hospital and NAIFA’s Insurance and Financial Advisors Political Action Committee (IFAPAC). The golf outing will be held at The Den at Fox Creek, an Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course. This golf outing will be great fun for pro and novice golfers alike. Be sure to bring a client, colleague, spouse or friend!
On the morning of September 23rd, the End of Summer Education Conference will be held at Rob Dob's Restaurant in Bloomington, and features great speakers including Josh Reikena, David Kikoen and Thao "Duckie" Huynh..

David Kikoen, LUTCF, CLTC, RICP
David Kikoen is a Registered Representative and Financial Services Professional with New York Life. His practice, Think Outside… Financial Strategies, focuses on Long-Term Care and Retirement Income Planning.
He has been a NAIFA member for the past 13 years and serves on the NAIFA IL Board of Directors. He also served as Board Member, Program Director and President of the NAIFA Chicagoland Metro South. David graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in business management and economics. He is a Qualifying Member of MDRT and serves as Political Involvement Leader for New York Life in Schaumburg.
David is among the Top National Leaders for Long-Term Care production for New York Life. He has relationships with both AARP and AICPA and works with their members directly on their Long-Term Care planning.
Josh Riekena
Josh Riekena is a Financial Representative at COUNTRY Financial in Peoria, IL. He has numerous achievements with COUNTRY Financial including many awards. He is a 15-time All-American and All-Star Representative, “Rising Star”, and Executive Club Representative. He is also a member of NAIFA and MDRT earning Court of the Table in 2022.
He is a 2004 graduate of the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Josh is also very involved in his local community, serving on the board for Junior Achievement of Central Illinois and the Children’s Hospital of Illinois Community Advisory Board.
Thao Duckie Huynh
Duckie Huynh recently joined Westpoint Financial Group. Prior to her current role, she worked with HR Solutions as a Business Performance Advisor and was a financial services professional at New York Life and NYLife Securities. She originally pursued her degree in Paralegal Studies but later found a passion in the insurance and financial industry. Born and raised in Chicago by a Vietnamese immigrant mother, seeing her mother’s struggles was a great source of motivation and strength for her.
Whether it is working with young professionals, business owners, or high net worth families, Duckie is dedicated to educating, engaging, and inspiring as many people as possible to come to the table and empower them to take control of their finances.
Duckie also has a strong devotion for non-profit work. She currently serves as the Political Involvement Chair for NAIFA IL, the Vice -President and Financial Chair for the Vietnamese Association of Illinois, Board member of The Woodfield Area Children’s Organization, and now Executive Director of APS Training Institute. Away from the business she loves to spend time with her three rambunctious boys, read, and cook. She was even on a cooking show!
