About the Speakers

Jeannie Underwood-Kotner

As head of Global Atlantic Consulting, Jeannie travels nationally presenting at conferences and special events. She delivers impactful and inspiring trainings, presentations, seminars and workshops. With nearly 25 years in financial services, Jeannie brings a wealth of knowledge to her presentations and she continuously keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices affecting financial services to keep her workshops fresh and current.

Jeannie joined Global Atlantic in 2018 as a Vice President, Advisor Practice Consultant. Prior to Global Atlantic, she was a Sr. Regional Vice President at Invesco/Van Kampen Investments, where she was named wholesaler of the year in 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2016. Previously, she was an Internal Sales Consultant on the Variable Insurance team with Van Kampen Investments. She also held various sales and marketing roles at Edward Jones and Northwestern Mutual Life.

Jeannie resides in Springfield, IL, with her husband Marcus, and their two children, Lexi and Kody. In her spare time, Jeannie indulges in the arts, specifically painting, and is very involved in her children’s activities, including figure skating, gymnastics, soccer, and swimming.

Kyler Spencer, CFP®

Kyler provides financial advice and guidance to highly successful individuals. He has been a valuable part of the FSM Wealth team since 2016 when he began as an internal analyst.  At that time, Kyler assisted with investment research and client portfolio management while simultaneously attending Rend Lake College.  During his two years at Rend Lake, Kyler competed as a collegiate golfer and was also named an Academic All American.  After Rend Lake, Kyler transferred to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance.  While attending SIUe, Kyler continued working at FSM Wealth as he transitioned to an advisory role taking on more responsibilities with clients focusing primarily on retirement planning, wealth management, and insurance planning.

Kyler has been a frequent industry speaker at several NAIFA conferences. He was also appointed to serve as a director on the board in 2021 for NAIFA Illinois, and he continues to serve on the board today. Kyler is also a two-year member of MDRT. Kyler also holds the CFP® designation.

Outside of FSM Wealth, Kyler still enjoys playing competitive golf, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
