Join us for our April Chapter Program at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center for a glimpse into the challenges of managing a 24/7 always open facility serving the community with emergency and medical services. This presentation will include:
- Overview of the hospital and healthcare facilities – where the hospital building is going, and structural requirements deadlines in California
- Fountain Valley Regional accomplishments and challenges – Full census, capacity management plan, lowest EMS deferral rates, homeless and indigent psychiatric response at ED - OSHPD building and infrastructure requirements for new codes, generators, electrical branches, OR air handlers replacements, occupied space building challenges, and Hybrid room additions, Master Plan, etc.
- Hybrid OR – IC barrier between control room and procedure room
- Infrastructure required for new services – 1.5 megawatt emergency generator and electrical transfer switched of three separated branches of power unique to Healthcare.
