Criminal justice involvement destabilizes Ohio families and has a significant impact on health. Bipartisan momentum for criminal justice reform has been building in recent years, bringing opportunities for cross-sector partnerships to improve health and public safety outcomes and control public spending.

This forum will highlight research on the relationships between criminal justice and health and explore alternatives to incarceration to keep families together to promote health, safety and well-being for Ohio families.

Speakers include:

  • Hailey Akah, Senior Health Policy Analyst, Health Policy Institute of Ohio
  • Greg Bennett, Vice President of Government Affairs, Byers, Minton, and Associates
  • Dr. Samantha Boch, Assistant Professor, University of Cincinnati College of Nursing
