WORKSHOP #1 - Unique Night Club 2-Step Innovations

Moves that drive the line!" Learn some fun, new, beautifully-flowing travel combinations from Ari's repertoire of wonderful NC2S moves. In this Workshop he will focus on the "Traveling Turbine" -- the kind of move that makes anyone watching you "ooh" & "aaw"  

WORKSHOP #2 - "Swinging Out of the Box with a Fox!"
Date: Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014
Time: 7 pm - 8 pm
Level:  Non-novice Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced

Learn the art of improvisation and the use of alternate 6 & 8 count rhythms in swing with this fun East Coast Swing base approach to dance that addresses the use of tight partnering, framework, lead/follow connection, and energy to break in and out of 6-count rhythms. Amazingly simple to do, yet so much fun! Perfect for both beginning or experienced dancers who want to learn a whole lot more about swinging outside the box!   Ari is one of the county's leading innovators in this style.

An Introduction to Dancing the "Blues"

In this very unique class, you will not only learn some fun, basic blues steps and stylings, but more importantly, it will introduce you to the concept of dancing entirely through energy, where both partners can ultimately lead, follow, and listen concurrently.  These concepts will profoundly change the way you think about all of your dancing (not just the blues).  Not to be missed!

WORKSHOP #3 - Bluesifying Your West Coast Swing
Date: Monday, Sept. 15, 2014

Level:  Advanced connection techniques  for dancers of all levels
Fee: $15 or $25 for both Monday Workshops
An essential class for mastering the art of quiet lead/follow connection and the ability for both partners to lead and listen concurrently -- the hallmark of great WCS dancers, and the first steps to creating wonderful conversations in your dance!  You will definitely not want to miss Ari's unique exercises introducing the "physics" of dance connection that will help your dancing to flow with ease!  Designed for dancers of all levels, though comfort with a basic sugar push is suggested

WORKSHOP #4 - Tango'd Up In Blues
Date: Monday, Sept. 15, 2014

Level:  Non-novice Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Fee: $15 or $25 for both Monday Workshops
In this class we'll explore how tango rhythm is frequently inherent in blues music, and how movement appropriate to that rhythm can be applied to your dance.  Embellish what you already know, of blues or tango, by learning to cut the floor with sultry tango footwork and spicy latin breaks that are easily inserted into your blues styling.  A great way to broaden your dance horizons!
