As residences for tens of thousands of Florida’s vital seniors, Assisted Living Communities always hold interest for Florida lawmakers, regulators, academicians, and legal firms. The 2020 Legislative Session will introduce and debate issues affecting the full continuum of senior living care and services, including Assisted Living. As a unique and diverse provider type, Assisted Living Communities balance social and medical models of care in a primarily private, though highly regulated, market.
Through the annual Florida Senior Living Association Legislative Advocacy Workshop, FSLA provides a personalized opportunity for Assisted Living providers to influence the Legislative process, make connections with Legislators and their staff, and gain better familiarity with Legislation taking shape affecting senior living.
This two-day event opens on January 28 with an evening reception. The following day attendees will go to the Capitol to interact with experts, legal consultants, and Legislators to learn and share concerns and successes.
The Florida Senior Living Association invites management, team members, owners, residents, administrators and other invested stakeholders to join a body of professionals and practitioners advancing Assisted Living in Florida.
