Come join the Historical Society in celebrating the acquisition and move of the only Colony House that remains in its original location. This will be an evening of food, music and friends interested in preserving Simi Valley's past for future generations.

Come join the Historical Society in celebrating the acquisition and move of the only Colony House that remains in its original location, and the LAST historical building to be moved to our Historical Park.  This will be quite and undertaking and will involve removing the roof, raising the house off of the foundation, placing it on a truck and moving it over a mile to Strathearn Historical Park.  This process will cost in the neighborhood of $75,000.  We will be holding a fund-raising event to assist in funding the relocation of the Printz/Powell Colony House.  This event will be held at the Printz/Powell Colony House in the very same location where it was built 130 years ago!

This will be an evening of wonderful food, music, and friends interested in preserving Simi Valley's past for future generations of the community.  A commemorative 'Simiopolis' booklet program will be given to guests which will include the interesting history of Simiopolis, and a walking tour route that will allow you to peek into the past and envision what Simiopolis used to be.
