LEO Party XV: Benefiting SCS, YouthCare, and Somos Seattle
For the past 14 years, Joe Torres’ annual LEO Party has been a celebration show and fundraiser supporting important social organizations in the Seattle community, including Seattle Counseling Service (SCS). Joe Torres is a very dedicated, service-driven member of the Seattle/Capitol Hill community, and in 2003, Joe decided to use his birthday as an opportunity to give back to the community he loves. Last year, the LEO Party raised over $20,000 in support, not only of SCS, but a second nonprofit providing scholarships and funds to youth of Washington state in their post-high school educational goals.
This year, the LEO Party will take place on Sunday, August 12th. In its 15th year, this event is expected to be another great success, and funds raised will benefit SCS, YouthCare, Somos Seattle. SCS is an organization dedicated to serving, advocating, educating, and advancing the social well-being and mental health of the LGBTQ community serving over 2,300 clients in the greater Seattle area in 2017. Youthcare is a locally based organization serving 1,000+ homeless youth in the greater Seattle area providing them with meals, showers, laundry services, and other basic needs.
