Naples: The Value of Giving - Charity begins at Work! Sponsor Naples Floral Design

  Connie Byrne, Recruiting Manager, Arthrex.  Connie has been with Arthrex since 2006. She oversees all hiring activities and manages the Charitable Giving Program. She graduated from St. John Neumann HS in Naples, Florida, and made the decision to come back to live and work in the local community after going on to further her education. She holds a BA in Anthropology from Franklin and Marshall College and a Masters degree in Human Resources from Emmanuel College.  Connie is a top walker for the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk; a former member of the AHA SWFL Chairman's Board, Drug Free Collier Board, Leadership Collier Class of 2009 and the Leadership Collier Foundation Board. She is the Arthrex team Captain for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and top walker and has volunteered at PACE in Immokalee.

Steve Sanderson: President and CEO United Way of Collier County. Steve has been a United Way and communities champion his entire career. With over 25 years of United Way and non-profit experience, he relocated his wife and six children (ages 10 – 24) from San Antonio, Texas to the Naples area in January of 2012. In his role, Steve’s responsibilities include leading all management functions of the $2.8 million dollar annual campaign and $2.4 million dollar endowment of this $5.2 million dollar United Way. He serves on community, state-wide and national committees bringing resources and creative ideas to expedite the community agenda. A 2013 graduate of Leadership Collier, Steve is heavily involved in the community serving on numerous boards and collaborative efforts encompassing local and regional economic development; Opportunity Naples, Blue Zone Healthy living initiative, Affordable Housing and the Future Ready Education Pipeline promoting early learning preparedness and college and career readiness. These are in addition to the United Way’s own ALICE Asset Limited Income Constrained and employed efforts evolving around family and income moving people and families to prosperity. In his short tenure in Naples / Collier County Steve is particularly pleased with the United Ways impact in the community with its new Collier 211 Information and Referral helpline and its recently launched Volunteer Collier Community engagement initiative, increased fundraising results and relocation to a brand new building with modern office and meeting space.  

Lisette Holmes joined the Community Foundation of Collier County staff as their new Chief Financial Officer on October 7, 2013.  She came to Naples from her position as CFO at the Community Foundations of Hudson Valley, where she worked for 6.5 years.  In addition to her B.S. in Accounting, Lisette has a B.A. in Physics and a Masters of Science in Education – all from SUNY New Paltz.  On top of her college education, she also completed a financial planning certification course.  In her previous life, Lisette worked as a science teacher for almost 20 years, teaching courses in Physics, Chemistry, Forensics, Robotics/Animatronics, Math, etc. As a resident of Collier County, Lisette continues to seek opportunities for learning about Collier County’s history and current community.  She volunteers as a Laureate Presentation Panelist at Naples High School, graduated from Leadership Collier and serves on the Leadership Collier Matching Needs Committee.



Jim Henderson, President and Owner of William C. Huff Companies -- a nationwide logistics provider with offices in New Hampshire and Naples, Florida,  is a sought after speaker nationwide. He is the founder of the Naples Chapter of the Domestic Estate Managers Association (DEMA), has served as the Chapter President and is well known as being an expert in the field of Downsizing estates.  Jim’s experience comes from taking a small, family-run moving and storage company and building it into an  industry leader working with high net-worth and ultra high net-worth clients. Jim attributes much of the company’s success to long-range strategic planning and a dedicated team of employees. Jim and his team take pride in giving back to the community through their various charitable endeavors. They were a critical part of the recent Turtles on the Town.


 Emcee: Sue Huff, President of E. Sue Huff and Associates  Sue Huff is the owner of E. Sue Huff & Associates, Inc., a Marketing and Management Consulting firm that targets small to mid-sized businesses in Southwest Florida.  Sue began her career in newspapers, then owned a chain of print shops in Cincinnati Ohio before later managing the Dept. of Printing for the City of Cincinnati  -- as well as hosting a City TV Show. Her management background led to the development of her consulting business in 1996. Sue helps clients develop, administer and plan their marketing strategies, as well as, provide gap management services for those companies who find themselves with too few senior managers. Sue is an avid volunteer in the community, has been an on-air personality at several radio stations and is a regular emcee for the Above Board Chamber
